Worship
Metro offers a hybrid worship experience. Attendees are invited to join either in-person in the physical sanctuary in midtown Manhattan or virtually from anywhere via Zoom. In whatever capacity you join Metro for worship, you can do so interactively, with each worship experience is led by both in-person and virtual participants. For more information, visit our Worship page, sign up for our weekly Metro Life email, or send us an email.
Join us for worship at Metro at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Come as you are. You can expect a warm welcome. After worship we join together for coffee hour in the sanctuary and would love for you to join us for coffee and light refreshments to get to know us better.
Location
We are located at 410 W. 40th St. (between 9th and 10th Avenues) in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan. If arriving by Subway, we are steps away from the Port Authority and Times Square/42nd St Stations. If arriving from New Jersey, we are located at the end of the Lincoln Tunnel and parking is often available on 9th Avenue.
Lectionary
Like many churches, we follow the Revised Common Lectionary in our worship. It breaks up the Bible into three years so that over three years, much of the Bible is read. Weekly lectionary texts can be found here.
Accessibility
While we are open to all, our building is not yet accessible by wheelchair. It is our primary goal for our building. In the past, wheelchair users have allowed us to assist them in entering the building. We would welcome this chance but we completely understand if this is not feasible for you.
Children
Children are welcome in our service and we have several ways for children to engage the life of our church. Optional childcare for children birth-3yrs is provided in the middle of the service for any families that want to utilize it. Children ages 4 and up are also invited to a focused Children's Time during a portion of our morning worship service. More about our Children's Ministry Programs here.
